Chavez KO's Buchholz at The Warriors Cage 23 "Halloween Havoc 5"

The Warriors Cage was back at it October 30, 2015 the night before Halloween, with their yearly tradition TWC 23 "Halloween Havoc". The event center was filled, as MMA fans were treated to a 10 bout card full of action.

UFC veteran  Justin Buchholz out of Team Alpha Male in Sacramento took on fellow UFC veteran Ernest Chavez in the main event. Both fighters looked to get back on track after losing their last 2 outings. Chavez got a early take down in the fight, but Buchholz was able to fight his way back to his feet. Buchholz landed multiple kicks to the body, before fighting off another take down attempt from Chavez. Chavez then came forward with a punishing combo that put Buchholz to sleep at 3:22n into round 1. The KO earned Chavez the Knockout of the Night and moved his record to 10-2.

The co main event saw Bakersfeild's Ray Cervera take on Temecula's Ian Millan. After a brief feeling out process. Cevera fired off a left, right combo that snapped Millan's head back. Millan would then shoot in for a double leg take down, but was met immediately with a guillotine from Cervera. Cervera tightens it up and forces the tap at 2:52 in round 1.

Strikeforce and Bellator veteran Bryan Travers made quick work of Fresno's David Ramirez. Travers took the fight to the ground, where he worked some ground and pound. Ramirez would give up his back trying to escape. Travers the locked up a rear naked choke that would end the fight at 1:13 in round 1.

In a all out brawl, William "Little Bear" Johnson defeated Cody Sons out of Bakersfeild. Sons landed early and often early in the fight rocking Johnson into the cage. Johnson then unloaded a hard right hand that dropped Sons. Johnson followed up with a couple more shots until the ref stopped the fight at 1:13 in round 1.

The females stole the show in a fight that earned Fight of the Night honors. Visalia's Amber Tackett out of Elite Team took on Gladiator Challenge champ Corina Herrera out of Porterville. Tackett hurt Herrera with straight left that dropped Herrera in round one.

Tackett followed Herrera to the canvas where she nearly finished the fight with a rear naked choke as the round ended. Herrera came back strong in round two landing some hard shots of her own that seemed to daze Tackett. Tackett would answer back with kicks and combos that had Herrera back pedaling. In the final round Herrera would get a take down but couldn't score from there as Tackett got back to her feet. Tackett would then get a take down of her own and land some punches until the final bell sounded sending it to the judges. All three judges scored the fight a unanimous decision for Amber Tackett.

Fresno's Jermaine McDermot defeats Marcus Abarquez by tko, after landing a right hand that dropped Abarquez. McDermot landed a couple more shots until the referee stopped the fight 1:10 in round 1.

Lemoore's Sergio Quinones out of Team Ochoa earned Submission of the Night with his arm in guillotine choke that forced Porterville's Jeff Carson to tap at 2:15 in round 1.

David Ojeda defeated Tarsh Johnson by tko after getting full mount, where he rained down punches until the referee stopped the fight at 1:07 in round 1.

Levon McCorack defeats Alex Garcia by unanimous decision.

Idris Wasi defeats Michael Lowder by unanimous decision,
