Gonzales retains title at Gladiator Challenge "Showdown"

Gladiator Challenge made its way back to the Central Valley Saturday May 25th,2013 at The Twilight Park in Woodlake Ca. Gladiator Challenge "Showdown" held six pro mma bouts and three pankration matches.

In the main event of the evening the Gladiator Challenge welterweight title was on the the line. Champion Fernando Gonzales looked to defend the title against Visalia's Kenny Ento. Gonzales was able to use his boxing to score versus Ento, Landing the left hook that stunned Ento a couple times in the fight. Ento would use his kicks through out the fight and work the jab. Ento also got a take down in round three, but after three rounds of action all three judges scored the fight (30-27) a unanimous decision for Fernando Gonzales.

In the co main event Team Ochoa's Sergio Quinones evened the score in a rematch with Visalia's Darren Crisp. Quinones was able to take Crisp down in round two where he locked up a front face lock guillotine
 
that put Crisp to sleep 1:39 in round 2 earning him the submission win.

Joshua Miranda defeats Joey Cabezas by unanimous decision, after three rounds of action judges scored the fight (30-27, 29-28, 29-28).


Cody Orrison defeats Exeter's John Wadkins by submission, tightening up a rear naked choke that forced the tap 2:03 in round 1.

Anthony Ruiz defeats Rafael Del Real by submission, with a rear naked choke that ended the fight 1:35 in round 1.

Jeramiah Labiano defeats Justin Stevenson by tko landing some knees that dropped Stevenson, forcing the referee to stop the fight 2:10 in round 1.

Armani Baines defeats Mohammed Okdeh by submission in their pankration match.

Kiko Lopes defeats Cameron Ramirez by decision in a pankration match.

Visalia's Cody Gibson defeats Alex Perez by decision in a pankration match.
