Ruiz stays undefeated at 559 Fights 13

Visalia Rawhide Stadium played host, to 559 Fights 13 "Ruiz vs Henderson" Saturday night. Putting an end to the MMA drought in Visalia, and treating the Central Valley fans to another action packed card.

Dinuba's Manny "The Beast" Ruiz refused to be taken down in the main event of the night versus Ronald Henderson. Ruiz, who trains out of Team KO in Farmersville stuffed any take down attempt by Henderson in the early rounds. Ruiz would instead take top position and work his ground and pound as well as take Henderson's back looking for the submission. Ruiz dropped Henderson with a left hook in round two where he then continued to dominate with his ground game. Henderson was finally able to get a take down in the final round, looking to lock up a guillotine. But Ruiz escaped and kept top position landing punches to the final bell. All the three judges saw the fight the same scoring it a unanimous decision for Manny Ruiz who moves to 4-0-1.








In the co main event another member of Team KO impressed the fans. As Exeter's Alex "Juice" Valencia wasted no time putting away Andrew Skyers . Skyers would shoot for a take down, but get tossed to the mat. Valencia landed a hard punch and followed Skyers down. Where he would unload on Skyers until the referee stepped in to stop the fight only :20 seconds into round 1.

Sacramento's Joseph Morales kept his undefeated record in tact defeating J.J. Madrid of Tulare by submission. Morales used the guillotine choke to force the tap 1:31 in round 1.

Eddie Godinho defeats Fabian Luevano by tko, after landing a series of punches that had Luevano hurt. Referee stopped the fight 1:57 in round 1.

Anthony Torres defeats Hector Contreras in a all out brawl that had the crowd pumped. After three action packed rounds judges scored the bout a unanimous decision for Anthony Torres.

Team Ochoa's  Stephen Sandoval defeats Cody McClour by unanimous decision.

Visalia's Chris Gottschall defeats Anthony Ornelas by unanimous decision.

Eric Diaz defeats Devon Chavez by ko, landing a right hand that dropped Chavez at :31 seconds in round 2.

Jose Urbina defeats Tyrell Mayfield by submission with a rear naked choke that forced the tap 1:13 into round 1.

Chance Warnock defeats Christopher Gonzales by submission. Locking in a arm bar that ended the fight :33 seconds in round 1.

Steven Robinson defeats David Aninion by submission with a rear naked choke, that forced the tap 1:24 in round 2.
